Citibank Global Transfer (CGT) is an online service that allows you to transfer funds between your Citibank accounts globally*. It is easier to use, faster and more cost effective than traditional Telegraphic Transfer (TT).

Getting Started with Citibank Global Transfer (CGT)
To enjoy the convenience of Citibank Global Transfer (CGT) service, simply sign in to Citibank Online with your User ID, Password and enter the One-Time PIN (OTP) generated by your Online Security Device (OSD) when prompted.
Click on the Payments & Transfers from the menu on the top tab.
Select a destination account of where you would like to transfer your funds to.
If you do not see your desired account in the drop down list, please click on "Add Payee".
Under "Overseas Payee", select either "Pay an organization with Citibank Global Transfer" or "Telegraphic Transfer". Once you have input the details of your New Payee for Citibank Global Transfers, you may proceed with Step 2 to complete your payment/transfer.

Citibank Global Transfer is an online service that allows the customer to transfer funds between Citibank accounts from any part of the globe. It is an easy-to-use, fast and cost-effective mode of international money transfer.
Once you have submitted your request for fund transfer, Citibank will follow its regular procedures. If you transfer money via Citibank Global Transfer, the amount will be instantly transferred to the recipient's account. For online telegraphic transfers, it takes about 3 to 5 business days.
To use the Citibank global money transfer service, you need the minimum fund amount in your account and the correct details of the recipient, such as their name, name of recipient’s bank and account details.
On the frequency of the fund transfer, there are no restrictions. But yes, there is an aggregate transfer limit of $200,000 per day.
Citi Global Money Transfer service is free for customers who are transferring funds overseas.
Step 1: Sign in to Citibank Online using your credentials.
Step 2: Click on the "Payments & Transfers" from the menu on the top tab.
Step 3: On the Payments & Transfers page, click on "Manage Payee List" -> "Add Payee".
Step 4: In the Payee Type dropdown, select either "Pay an individual/organization with Citibank Global Transfer" or "Telegraphic Transfer" under "Overseas Payee". Follow the instructions mentioned on that page to add the necessary details of your new payee.
